After military service I joined Caterpillar Tractor Co. Spent 5 1/2 years with Cat in Europe. Came back from Europe to Cleveland for four years then quit Cat and became a Sales Manager for a Caterpillar Dealer in OXnard, CA. Retired as the Vice President and General Manger of the Caterpillar Dealer in San Diego covering San Diego County and Hawaii.
As of June, 2013 we live in Bernalillo, New Mexico, which is 15 miles north of Albuquerque. We are closer to our younger son and his wife and five children.
Received the Price Gettinger award as the outstanding bandsman of the year (1962).
The Theta Xi national magazine (The Unicorn) named me as one of the three outstanding graduates of U. C. Davis, Beta Epsilon (1962)
See comments above. Since retiring I have written and published four books, served on the board of the Camp Pendleton Historical Society, given presentations at the Association of American Cut Glass Conventions, acted as President of our local cut glass chapter, and taught myself how to play the keyboard. I am now the Secretary for the Albuquerque Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Been retired for twenty years and it's great.

Those of us who knew Bob know that he was well traveled (in all sorts of vessels) and invested well and made his money by using his knowledge. Every time I saw Bob at a UCD or Farternity function he made me feel important by the way he listened and seemed interested in what I was doing. I always looked forward to seeing and talking to him. He was special. He will be missed.
Hello Chuck. It's been so many years that we have forgotten each other. I remember you in the house when I was there. Nice to know you are still around. Two daughters - that alone must be a handfull, plus a son. Hope all is well with you and your family. Gary Blair BE 153
We have lost another good one. Dave was always fun to be around and was an active member for the fraturnity. If I recall he was also a member of the Theta Xi Quartet, which was well known on campus.
